Sometimes changing a dogs life doesn’t begin with forever, sometimes it begins with one afternoon.

Imagine spending a few hours exploring a local trail, enjoying a quiet walk through the park, visiting a dog-friendly cafe or simply relaxing in your own backyard while a rescue dog experiences something they may not have felt for a long time… freedom, curiosity, and the simple joy of being someone’s adventure buddy.

Wild Heart Adventures was created for people who love dogs and want to help, but may not be ready to foster or adopt just yet. It gives our rescue dogs the opportunity to build confidence, experience new places, meet new people and simply enjoy being a dog outside in new safe environment. Every outing helps us learn more about each dog’s personality while giving them valuable experiences that prepare them for their future family.

You don’t have to climb a mountain or plan an elaborate day. Sometimes the greatest adventure is riding in the car with the windows down, meeting your family for a picnic, walking through your favorite farmers market, or watching your children laugh while tossing a ball across the yard with a dog. These everyday moments become extraordinary when shared with a dog who has been waiting for someone to choose them.

Along the way, something remarkable happens. People stop to say hello. They ask about the dog beside you. Conversations begin. A neighbor discovers Wild Heart Haven for the first time. Someone starts following our journey. Someone decides to foster. Someone realizes they’ve just met the dog they want to bring home.

Every Wild Heart Adventure begins with one simple step. Complete the form and tell us a little about yourself, your family, and the kinds of adventures you enjoy. This helps us thoughtfully match you with a rescue dog whose personality, energy level, and needs are best fit for your day together.

Once we receive your registration, a member of the Wild Heart Haven team will reach out to learn a little more about you, answer any questions you may have and help pair you with a dog who is ready for their next adventure.

Join the Wild Heart Adventurers Club

For many Adventurers, what begins as a simple afternoon with a rescue dog becomes something much bigger. They discover that every walk, every visit to a local park, every stop for a pup cup and every conversation with a curious stranger has the power to introduce someone new to Wild Heart Haven.

That’s why we created Wild Heart Adventurers Club!

This is not another bucket list of places to visit with a dog. It is a community of people who believe that every adventure can help another dog find hope!

As a Club Member, you’ll receive your official Wild Heart Haven Adventures Passport, where you’ll complete Expeditions by reaching Trail Markers throughout your adventures.

These Trail Markers are designed to help grow the Wild Heart Haven community by encouraging new Advocate List members, inspiring social media followers, connecting Wild Heart Haven with local businesses or even introducing future foster families, and helping more people discover dogs waiting for a home.

As you complete the Expeditions you’ll advance through the ranks of:

  • Trail Scout

  • Trail Guide

  • Summit Seeker

  • Trail Ranger

  • Adventure Ambassador

As you progress through each rank, you’ll acquire points to earn your own Wild Heart Adventures Exclusive Tee and Wild Heart Haven recognition!

While the Wild Heart Adventures Club is fun, it isn’t about collecting points and winning prizes. The goal is to build a community where more people know about the dogs who need us most.

The more people who know our dog’s stories, the more foster homes we can build. The more advocates who join our mission, the more lives we can save. And the stronger our community becomes, the more dogs Wild Heart Haven can rescue from abandonment and unnecessary euthanasia in the years ahead.

One adventure gives a rescue dog an unforgettable day, and creates a ripple effect that helps build a future where every dog has the chance to let their wild heart roam!
