Meet Luna
Max and Leo
Two brothers looking for their next chapter.
Max and Leo have spent their lives together, and for now, we're considering them a bonded pair. They share a familiar connection and the comfort that comes from having one another nearby.
As we get to know them better, we're carefully evaluating how each dog responds independently. It's possible that Max and Leo may be able to thrive in separate homes—but we're not going to make that decision until we're confident it's right for both of them.
At this time, inquiries for Max and Leo as a pair are welcome. If our assessment shows that they can be successfully placed separately, we'll update their profiles and begin considering individual homes.
Our goal isn't simply to find them somewhere to go. It's to understand what each of them needs and find the home—or homes—where they have the best chance to thrive.

Goofy, mischievous, affectionate, and unmistakably Husky—Max is a 64-pound personality wrapped in fur.
At six years old, Max has plenty of fun left in him, but he's also more than happy to show off his softer side. He's a hugger, a snuggler, and the kind of dog who enjoys being close to his people. And yes, he comes equipped with the classic Husky soundtrack. If you appreciate a good howl and a dog who occasionally has something important to say, Max will happily provide the conversation.
He's playful and fun, with just enough mischief to keep life interesting.
Max is also an escape artist, something his future family needs to take seriously. Like many Huskies, he's clever, curious, and capable of finding opportunities you didn't realize existed. A secure home environment and responsible handling will be important for keeping this adventurous boy safe.
Max does well with other dogs and children. He is not a match for homes with cats or small animals, and he has not yet been evaluated with small-breed dogs.
And when the adventures are over?
Max is ready to come back in, lean into his people, and remind you that underneath all that Husky mischief is one seriously lovable snuggler.
Clever, playful, adventurous, and always ready to see what's around the next corner, Leo is a red Siberian Husky with the curiosity and confidence to match.
At six years old and 65 pounds, Leo shares many of the qualities we love about his brother, Max. He's friendly, affectionate, fun-loving, and enjoys being around people and other appropriately sized dogs. But where Max tends to bring a little more goofy mischief to the equation, Leo is the clever adventurer of the pair.
And adventurer may be putting it mildly.
Leo is an accomplished escape artist with a serious curiosity about the world beyond the fence. His future family will need to understand the Husky talent for turning an unsecured gate, questionable fence, or moment of opportunity into an unexpected expedition. A secure environment and attentive handling aren't just preferences for Leo, they're important to keeping him safe.
Leo also has a strong prey drive. He is not appropriate for a home with cats, small-breed dogs, or other small animals.
Give Leo an appropriate outlet for that adventurous energy, though, and you'll find an incredibly fun companion. He's smart, playful, affectionate, and seems to approach life as though there's always something interesting waiting to be discovered.
Luna loves to play and explore, and she approaches her surroundings with genuine curiosity. She's interested in what's happening, who's around, and what everyone else is doing. Once she feels comfortable, you get to see much more of the fun-loving young dog behind that initial caution.
Luna does well with other dogs, cats, and children. She can be especially curious about cats, so appropriate introductions and supervision are still important while everyone gets acquainted.
She's also already house trained and kennel trained, giving her a great foundation for a dog her age.
Luna's Ideal Home
Luna would do best with someone who understands that trust doesn't have to happen in the first five minutes.
She needs a family willing to give her a little room to settle in rather than pushing her into interactions before she's ready. Patience, consistency, continued training, exercise, play, and opportunities to explore will help this young dog continue building confidence.
In return, there's a wonderfully playful and curious companion waiting to come out.
Luna may not immediately throw herself into your arms when you meet her.
Give her a little time to decide you're her person.
Something tells us she'll make earning that trust very worthwhile.

Playful, curious, sweet, and a little more cautious about handing out her trust—Luna is Milo's sister and very much her own dog.
At approximately eight months old and 42 pounds, Luna is a darker-coated Labrador Retriever and American Staffordshire Terrier working-breed mix, with the same possibility of Doberman somewhere in the family tree as her brother.
Where Milo tends to introduce himself with enthusiasm, Luna likes to take a little more time.
She can be timid when meeting someone new and prefers the opportunity to observe, get comfortable, and decide for herself that everything is okay. Give her that time, though, and the playful, curious young dog underneath begins to emerge.
And there's a lot of personality waiting in there.
A Note About Milo
Early in life, Milo was kept illegally chained up, and his back leg was affected as a result. Today, he walks with a limp and will often step on the top of his back paw instead of placing it normally.
We won't turn that part of Milo's story into something it isn't. He doesn't need anyone to feel sorry for him.
Milo has been examined by a veterinarian, was deemed healthy, no longer experiences pain and requires no treatment or medication for his leg at this time.
More importantly, Milo has never allowed it to decide what his life looks like.
He runs hard. He plays hard. He explores, wrestles, learns, and throws himself into everything with the enthusiasm of a young dog who has far more important things to do than dwell on what happened to him.
What was done to Milo is part of his story, and we won't hide it.
But it isn't the story of who Milo is.
He's healthy. He's happy. He's wildly affectionate. He's active. And if you happen to notice that one back paw moves a little differently while he's racing toward whatever adventure comes next, that's simply a piece of Milo he carries with him.

Loving, playful, ridiculously affectionate, and eager to learn, Milo is a young dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart.
At approximately eight months old, Milo appears to be a Labrador Retriever and American Staffordshire Terrier working-breed mix, with the possibility of some Doberman in his family tree. Whatever combination created him, it gave Milo striking golden eyes, an athletic build, a sharp mind, and an incredible love for people.
And when we say he loves people, we mean it.

He's the kind of dog who doesn't simply lean against you for affection—he commits. Milo is extremely loving, playful, and happiest when he's interacting with his people. He's also a quick learner and picks up new things remarkably fast, making continued training and enrichment a great outlet for both his intelligence and energy.
Milo is house trained and kennel trained, and he is friendly with dogs, cats, and children. He's an active young dog who loves to run, play hard, explore, and be part of whatever is happening around him.
